Breaking news :The Federal Government has confirmed five new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.

The Federal Government has confirmed five new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 8.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire confirmed the cases during a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
He further  explained that three of the cases came from the United States of America including a mother and child while two others came from the UK.
One of the confirmed cases is a Nigerian who came via the nation’s land border.

Four cases are Lagos and while one is from Ekiti.


NYSC shuts down orientation camps over coronavirus fears

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management has shut down all the orientation camp nationwide over the spread of coronavirus.
The directive, which came from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja early Wednesday morning disrupted the orientation camp of the 2020 Batch A Stream 1, across the 37 centres in the country.
   The minister of youth and sports  Mr Sunday Dare says this is part of the Federal Government’s precautionary measure against the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
The orientation programme started on March 10 and was supposed to end on March 30.
All corps members are to be paid and sent to their places of primary assignment.
The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, is expected to give more details.
